Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, AZ is a facility that hosts many activities and events. This facility, which is located in Old Town Scottsdale, is the 'home' for the Valley Vipers, the new minor league. This stadium is also where the San Francisco Giants have their Spring Training Camp. Many people love to come to the stadium during this time of year just to watch and enjoy. The stadium has a very 'all American sport" look to it with antique gloves, lamps from another century and bricks that are shaped like home plate.
It is also located near many businesses, restaurants and events that are in the Scottsdale downtown area. Many children love to go to the Sugar Bowl, a great place for ice cream.
Scottsdale Stadium is used for many other events. In the fall, they have a Fall Stadium Starlight Sleepover. This is the perfect family getaway where you'll sleep under the stars and tell horror stories. You'll also have the opportunity to play games, do crafts, watch movies on a big screen or just relax. Bill Johnson's Big Apple Restaurant caters delicious food to the event so eating is a real treat. The registration is $32 each and includes breakfast and dinner as well as a souvenir from camp.
Another great event to watch is the Annual "Desert Dog" Police K-9 Trials, which take place in the spring. The entry fee is only $1 and it's more than worth it to see these beautiful and intelligent dogs compete for the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association. Teams of Police, Government and Security and Military from the southern United States all have their shepherds competing in tactical obedience, handler protection, narcotics, search and obedience.
Food and merchandise is also so at this event. If you have never been to this event, you have no idea what you are missing.
There are many events at the Scottsdale Stadium each year as it is a very efficient and well maintained facility.
