In keeping with their mission of serving Mount Holly Township, the police department makes every effort to be part of a safe and progressive community. While maintaining order and keeping the community safe for families, the department takes the extra step to enhance the experience of living in Mount Holly.
To this end, the Mount Holly Police Community Center, near Westampton, New Jersey, attempts to provide a "nourishing and safe environment" for the children and families of the community. This facility is one of the more visible parts of the police department and community effort to work hand in hand with citizens.
Mount Holly, New Jersey is one of several Urban Enterprise Zone designees focused around the Central Business District. The center of the community is a registered Historic District contained within the Urban Enterprise Zone. The seat of Burlington County, Mount Holly provides businesses and families with an ideal location accessible to both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mount Holly's department has 26 full time officers, a number of special assignment officers, support staff and, in another program that indicates the department's community involvement, 19 crossing guards.
