Found near Schuylkill River canal, Main Street in Manayunk, PA, is a must stop for any shopping addicts passing through.
Upon first glance, this is merely a neat place to shop. It's quiet, the stores are a happy medium between upscale and affordable, and the community is nice to wander around.
However, what really makes this site stand out is the way that these "outside" shops fit into the otherwise cozy community. They neither barge into the theme of the town, nor do they stand alone- they settle in nicely with their surroundings, and if you're ever in Manayunk and find yourself needing some nails, it's helpful to know that the hardware store is nestled between some of the classier boutiques.
Despite difficulty parking, what with being located on the steepest incline in Philadelphia and all, Manayunk is a great place for shopping or taking a break from driving to grab a quick bite.
