Puppet Films at Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, PA

One of the most unique things about the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is that it routinely presents puppet shows by master puppeteers from around the world. These are not your average puppet shows for kids - instead, these shows feature finely hand-crafted puppets performing material that deals with war, history, racism, and gender issues. Each puppet show usually only runs for a week or so, so please buy tickets early to guarantee your attendance. Though admission to the ICA is free, the puppet shows do charge various admission prices.

The ICA is part of the University of Pennsylvania, and is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art from well-known and up-and-coming visual artists.
