Center City District Restaurant Week in the Historical District, and Center City in Philadelphia, PA

For a week in September every year, over 100 restaurants in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania participate in the Center City District Restaurant Week event. During this week, these restaurants, many of them of them four-star caliber, offer three-course lunches for $20 and three-course dinners for just $35. This is a great opportunity for visitors and Philly locals to eat at highly-regarded restaurants that would otherwise be out of their price range. Menus during this week may be offering only limited prix-fixe options to accommodate this lower price.

The sponsors of this event also hold an annual Flavor of the City On Us contest, where participants can register to win $2000 in gift certificates to central Philadelphia eateries. Entry forms for the contest can be found online and at many stores in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. Also, many restaurants lower their parking prices during Restaurant Week to $9 or less - a great deal in a city where parking is notoriously expensive or hard to come by.
