Wahso Asian Grill in historic Main Street is an elegant restaurant serving Asian cuisine with a French twist. The Park City restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, created by its fine decor, and Asian artworks and sculpture placed around the dining room. The interior is framed by large decorated mirrors, pillars and a beautiful frieze of birds in flight. On two sides of the dining room are intimate booths with drapes to provide a private dining experience. The rest of the room is filled with round tables with crisp linen tablecloths. The service is excellent, and often the waiting staff will visit tables to offer free tastings of various menu items.
The menu incorporating Asian and French styles and traditions changes regularly. Appetizers include kobe beef lettuce cups, seared fois gras with peach chutney, and Malaysian style pot stickers with dipping sauce. Soups feature the flavorsome Thai coconut and corn bisque, and 'hot and sour' with duck and shiitake mushroom dumplings. Fresh, cleansing salads include the watercress and Asian pears, and mixed Asian greens
Choose from a changing menu of entrees that can include grilled filet mignon surf and turf with Maine lobster, dynamite salmon with shrimp tempura and ginger braised spinach, Asian style tuna nicoise - and wok seared rack of Colorado lamb with a potato confit.
The wines have been selected to complement the unique flavors of the food and includes over 20 Sake wines, some infused with hazelnut, raspberry and Asian pear. The restaurant also serves its award-winning Sake martini, shaken at your table.
