State Parks Surrounding Park City, UT

Park City is surrounded by five different state parks, all unique and with different things to offer any visitor. Below are the five state parks and all they have to offer, making it easy for you to pick and choose which ones you would like to visit and what you can expect when visiting.
Deer Creek State Park
- Location: 25 miles south of Park City
- When It's Open: Year-round
- Popular Activities: Fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating, wind surfing, sailing

- Park Highlight: Deer Creek is said to have some of Utah's best fishing.
Echo Dam and Reservoir
- Location: 25 northeast of Park City
- When It's Open: May to October

- Fish Available: Trout, bass, crappie, catfish
- Park Highlight: This state park has a dam as well as a reservoir, so bring your camera!
Jordanelle State Park
- Location: 5 miles south of Park City
- When It's Open: May through September
- Popular Activities: Swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing
- Additional Features: Picnic areas, campgrounds with generous amenities
- Fish Available: Perch, bass, trout
- Park Highlights: Jordanelle has three sites within the campground: Rock Cliff Recreation Site, Perimeter Trail, and Hailstone Recreation Site, which has an RV campground. This park also features sandy beaches that are perfect for sunbathing.
Rockport State Park
- Location: 15 miles northeast of Park City
- When It's Open: Year-round
- Popular Activities: Water skiing, boating, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, sunbathing, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, ice fishing
- Additional Features: Picnic areas, campgrounds with modern amenities

Wasatch Mountain State Park
- Location: 25 miles northeast of Park City

- Park Highlights: Wasatch Mountain State Park's onsite chalet, complete with kitchen facilities, is ideal for hosting group events in warm or cold weather. Their 27-hole golf course is also recognized as one of the best in the state.
