Park City, Utah, may be considered part of the Wasatch Front, or the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, but the city by itself has much activity and economy. Park City is one of the three major resort towns in Utah—the others being Moab and St. George—and the three major ski resorts in this city are Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and The Canyons Resort. The city also has also been the home of notable events and organizations: Winter Olympic skiing and snowboarding at Park City and Deer Valley Ski Resorts, the Sundance Film Festival, the United States Ski Team, the Mrs. Fields Cookies chain, and the largest group of factory outlet stores in northern Utah.
