Marina Civic Center in Panama City, FL
The Marina Civic Center in Panama City, FL was extensively renovated in 1994. Six million dollars went into that renovation to create a center that now has a 2,508- seat theater, three 980 square foot meeting rooms, and a fully equipped stage with industry standard sound and lighting systems.
The Marina Civic Center attracts national tours and competitions. It's also popular with individual performers. Besides providing entertainment, the center can also serve as a meeting place for businesses and a location for local and national arts and cultural events.
The state-of-the-art conference rooms in the Marina Civic Center have the latest in audio and visual technology and exceptional catering. There's box office seating as well. All these features make it a popular place for conferences, seminars and receptions.
There's parking available on three sides of the building. The grounds are well-maintained, and the facility is located near several downtown art galleries, restaurants, music stores, and downtown shops. Many windows within the center provide a panoramic view of historic St. Andrews Bay.
There are three wheelchairs available for those who require assistance. They are used on a first-come, first-served basis. If a patron would like to borrow a wheelchair, he or she is asked to contact the box office (for advance reservations of wheelchairs) or an usher upon arrival.
There are public drinking fountains available in the Marina Civic Center in the upstairs and downstairs lobbies. For patrons with sensitive ears, foam earplugs are available at the box office for $2.
Shows that play at the center are varied and include everything from Elvis tributes to gospel concerts.
