Situated on the emerald green Gulf of Mexico, in the northwest region of Florida, Panama City Beach is within a one day drive of most major cities in the southeastern U.S. From the North, Highways 231, 331, and 79 lead directly to the Gulf of Mexico and Panama City Beach; all highways easily access Interstate 10. From the East, take Highway 98 to the beach, or Interstate 10 westbound to Highway 231, 79 or 331. Those coming from the West should take Highway 98 eastbound, or take Interstate 10 eastbound to Highway 331, 79, or 231.
By Air
Panama City/Bay County International Airport (renovated in 1996) is served by Delta, Northwest and US Airways. The airport is located on Lisenby Avenue, north of St. Andrews Blvd., in Panama City, just ten short minutes from the beaches. The airport has six gates, and features a departure lounge with plenty of seating and a great view of the airfield. Ground transfers are available by taxi; a fare to the beach is about US$25. Rental car agencies at the airport include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National.
By Train
Amtrak's Sunset Limited line stops in Chipley, just 45 miles north of Panama City Beach.

Visitors may ride the Bay Town Trolley, which has routes five times per day, Monday through Friday, along Thomas Drive and on Front Beach Road (east of Highway 79). Fares are 50'.
