Palm Springs is, for many, a high-quality residential community. For others, it is a preferred destination for recreation and dining. But key among the activities to pursue in the desert town of Palm Springs: shopping.
However, as most experience Palm Springs Mall shoppers will be quick to point out, this facility is not an exclusive shoppers paradise for those with extremely thick wallets. No indeed, Palm Springs mall is often described as no-nonsense and convenient, with its location close to downtown, the convention center and the Palm Springs airport.
Some of the success certainly comes from the fact that this is the only true shopping center at the west end of the Coachella Valley. But the wide range of products available in a variety of stores is also a major factor in the popularity of this mall. Shoppers can find such staples as groceries and prescriptions, but may also seek out the good clothing, shoes and gifts available here.
Add to this the photo service (passport photos, in particular) and movie theatres, and the Palm Springs Mall becomes a one-stop shopping center that rivals malls in many communities. Many of the Palm Springs Mall fans will also urge new shoppers to check out the vision/eyeglass services, hair styling salons and the numerous specialty shops. Of course, the mall doesn't rest on it laurels, though because managers are planning additional entertainment and shopping venues.
Additional stores that may be of interest: Gottschalks Department Store, True Value Hardware, Mario's of Palm Springs, Palm Springs Scrubs, Radio Shack, Office Max....the list goes on and on.
