The Palm Springs Brewery Company is listed as being out of business. When it was actively making beer it was well known for its Desert Mist, Golden Wheat, Palm Canyon Porter, Red Feather and Old Propsector Amber Ale.
The brewery received reasonably good reviews about the beers, which were all produced at the easier end of the consumptive spectrum, being drinkable for the masses rather than purely for the connoisseur. The strength of the ales varied from four percent up to five point 3 percent, so quite reasonable without inducing a severe hang over the next day.
The company seemed popular and focussed on producing drinkable ales rather than specialities, with the Palm Springs Palm Canyon Porter seemingly one of the most popular ales with its subtle tinge.
Before going out of business the brewery operated guided tours around the facility which were reported as being friendly but very professionally informative. There was also a gift shop and bar on site so visitors could mix the pleasure of testing the produce before going next door and buying some as a present for a friend or relative and walking off in their very own Palm Springs T-shirt, which sadly are no longer produced.
The brewery was a local employer and is sorely missed by the local population, not only for producing good quality beer, but also for providing jobs for the local people.
It does not appear that the brewery has been taken over or replaced, it has simply gone out of business.
