The library carries aircrafts and related artifacts, artwork and library sources.
The Palm Springs Air Museum is classified as a non-profit educational institution. Air power is what altered the outcome of the Second World War, and this museum is dedicated to showing the public exactly how this was accomplished. Some notable items in the museum's collection include: · Rare and original combat photography · Artifacts, memorabilia and uniforms of the Second World War · One of the world's largest collections of WWII warplanes · Comprehensive video documentaries · Original artworks including extremely large murals. Visitors to the museum have the option to buy a brick on the museum's Walk of Honor. Contributions are deductible for tax purposes and the funds collected go to support the facility's education and youth programs. A 4" x 8" brick costs $200 and includes three lines of type. A border stone costs $500 and is 8" x 8". Six lines can be fit on a border stone. A 16" x 16" star costs $2,500 including up to six lines of type. The Palm Springs Air Museum is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Regular admission cost is $10 for those 18 to 65. Seniors over 65 pay $8.50 except on Saturdays when the general rate applies. The same applies to military personnel with identification. Students 13 to 17 pay $8.50 and youth six to 12 pay $5. Children under six are free.
