L G's Prime Steakhouse in Palm Springs, CALG's Prime Steakhouse in Palm Springs, CA is a "Locally Owned and Nationally Known" restaurant. It was established in 1991 by a husband and wife team, Leon and Gail Greenberg.
The couple decided to name their restaurant LG's Prime Steakhouse because the restaurant serves only prime beef, which is the USDA's highest designation for beef. Prime beef is required to have a certain type of marbling which is responsible for the rich taste and texture that prime steaks have. serves up nine different types of prime steak. Two of the restaurants most popular steaks are the Jewel in the Crown and the Gold Striker 49er. The Jewel in the Crown is a 24-ounce Porterhouse. The Gold Striker 49er is a 30-ounce Porterhouse. The restaurant has an on premises dry-age facility that used to prepare the steaks. Besides steaks, LG's Prime Steakhouse serves prime rib, fresh fish of the day, formula-fed rack of lamb, a Colossal Poupon Lobster Tail, oven-roasted chicken breast and king crab legs. The restaurant serves a variety of munchies for those who simply come to visit and have a small snack. Examples of munchies are garlic bread and popcorn shrimp. The munchies are not to be confused with the appetizers. LG's Prime Steakhouse has a special appetizer menu that includes foods like escargot, crab cakes, calamari, and shrimp scampi. LG's Prime Steakhouse serves a variety of side and meal salads. Side orders like broccoli crowns, Parmesan garlic mashed potatoes, fresh asparagus and creamed spinach are also available. Servers display a fancy dessert plate to guests so that they can see for themselves what each type of dessert looks like.
