Palm Springs Walk of Stars "Starfair" at the Palm Springs Convention Center

In early December 2007, the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California hosted the Palm Springs Walk of Stars' inaugural Starfair festival. The four-day event was a dream for any fan of classic American movies, featuring film screenings, Q&As with stars, and celebrity autograph signings. During the event, several classic stars were inducted into the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, including Natalie Wood, whose star was accepted by her sister, Lana. Panels and Q&As were held with the stars, directors and producers of famous classic movies such as "Forbidden Planet," "Romeo and Juliet," "The Bad Seed," "Bullitt," and "Some Like it Hot."

Many classic film celebrities attended the event, including Carol Channing, Tony Curtis, Tippi Hedren, and Adam West. Many classic films were screened for attendees as well. The event truly encapsulated what Palm Springs was all about in the heyday of Hollywood - being a playground for the stars. The Starfair is now held every year in Palm Springs - if you are interested in attending, please contact the Palm Springs Walk of Stars directly for information about this year's dates, events, attendees and prices.
