Palm Springs, CA Golf Courses

Palm Springs provides the perfect place to enjoy a day of relaxing golf. Several dozen golf courses are located throughout the Palm Springs area, providing ample opportunity to enjoy plenty of time on the course. Whether you are a novice golfer or a pro, Palm Springs is certain to provide you with wonderful golfing memories and comfortable luxury accommodations.

Stadium Course has earned a reputation as one of the most challenging courses in the nation. If you are going to be in the Palm Springs area this is the one course you should not miss. Forced carries over desert and water as well as extremely deep bunkers add a level of challenge that would be difficult to find in any other course. Fabulous mountain backdrops provide the perfect setting to enjoy golfing memories that will certainly last a lifetime.

Spectacular mountain views, rolling fairways and shimmering lakes are just a few of the spectacular sights you will enjoy from Westin Mission Hills Resort. The course is designed for players of all levels; offering a chance for everyone from novices to pros to enjoy the natural beauty of the scenery while sampling some of the legendary course trademarks produced by course designer, Pete Dye.

Rancho La Quinta Country Club offers a challenging course including seven water hazards that are nothing short of intimidating and a variety of difficult bunkers. This is an exciting course to the very last hole.

Along with its sister course, Mountain View, Firecliff is one of the most expensive greens in the area; however, you will likely find that it is well worth the cost. The spectacular setting alone would be well worth the green fees, which range between $55 and $165. Designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, Firecliff is the only course that has ever been featured on the cover of Smithsonian. Smaller greens, wider fairways and fewer forced carries create a spectacular course well worth visiting.

Escena Golf Club was created by Nicklaus Design and is one of the newest golf courses to be constructed within the actual city limits of Palm Springs in the last twenty years. Faster greens, generous fairways and a sufficient number of water hazards provide a course that is challenging enough to test even seasoned pros.

The La Quinta Resort & Club Mountain Course launched the idea of public golf in the Palm Springs area in 1980. Golfers here will find back nines that are truly memorable while a rock filled gully produces a drive that will whet anyone's appetite for a good game.

Indian Wells Golf Resort was constructed in 1986 and since that time has become one of the most renowned golf courses in the area. Today the course features a well known golf school, two courses designed by Ted Robinson, an extensive pro shop and club store and spectacular views. Indian Wells has been named as one of the "Top 10 Resorts in California." In addition, the course is the only city owned property to win a Silver Medal Award by Golf magazine.
