'There's gold in them ther hills,' and with the Pioneer Adventure Jeep Tour, you'll discover the history of the pioneers and prospectors who first settled in the Palm Springs area. The Old West will come alive as you visit an Old Mining Camp recreation to experience what life was like for these early pioneers. Dangerous work, harsh climate, and a hard life defined their day-to-day existence, but the prospect of gold made it worthwhile In fact, you'll have the opportunity to experience that same feeling of hope as you pan for gold at the camp!

The tour will also take you to a pioneer homestead that includes a small shack, outhouse, pond, chicken coop, corral, and more. You'll also be able to tour a cowboy camp in the Los Vaqueros Canyon while you discover the history and heritage of these desert cowboys.

Details

• Price includes naturalist guided Jeep tour with snacks and bottled water.
• The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours.
• Some walking will be required as part of the experience.
• Photography is welcome and encouraged.
• Each Jeep can carry up to 7 passengers.
• The tour is recommended for ages 4 and up.
• Children between the ages of 4 and 6, and those who are under 60 pounds must be in an approved child safety seat. Guests must bring their own car seat.
• Comfortable, layered clothing is recommended, and close-toed shoes are required. We suggest bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
• All guides are CPR and First Aid trained, and go through an extensive training program before leading the eco-tours.
