The restaurant's head chef, Matthew Carmicheal was a 1996 to 2001 protégé of Domu Café's Chef John Taylor. He then went on to work for four years with world renowned Hong Kong-born chef, Susur Lee. Then he worked as a sous chef at Kei and as the chef de cuisine of Perspectives Restaurant in Kanata.
