Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa, ON

Come celebrate the beauty of tulips and the symbolic friendship between Canada and the Netherlands with the events of the Canadian Tulip Festival.

In 1945, the princess of the Netherlands extended 100,000 tulips towards Canada in appreciation for helping her country in World War 2. Today, Canada uses the Canadian Tulip Festival as a way to commemorate this friendship, as well as honor the tulip. Throughout the week long celebration, visitors of Ottawa are sure to find a wide variety of things to do.

Festival events are set to include an art festival, concert series, garden tours, parades and much more. So, whether you'd prefer to stroll through a calm meadow of tulips or be at a jam-packed rock concert, the range of possibilities is endless at the Canadian Tulip Festival.
