Located at Kissimmee in Florida, the Haunted Grimm House, as the name suggests is just the place to go to for some good ol' fashioned spooks! Spread over two floors and twenty rooms of 'frightful' fun, the Haunted Grimm House leaves no stone unturned when it comes to scaring the 'living daylights' out of you. With elaborate sets, bone-chilling special effects and costumed actors, the House ensures that their terror is doused with a generous helping of good humor to make for an experience that is sure to have you coming back for more!
And if that isn't terrifying enough for you, the Haunted Grimm House also has an eerie legend about it's past. As per local lore, the impressive Victorian edifice was constructed in the very midst of a swamp in 1886, housed the Grimm's funeral business and was finally abandoned in 1929, when the family was destroyed by the stock-market crash, their son's insanity and a murderous butler! What's more, the Old Town Council also advises that they aren't responsible for anything that might accost / terrify you, as you grope through the 4,000 feet of winding corridors and hollow rooms.
Faint-hearted visitors can take respite in the fact that the Haunted Grimm House hasn't claimed any further visitors of its own after being reopened to the public nearly a hundred years after it was first constructed, although daredevil scare-seekers will certainly not find their hour-long visit to the Haunted Grimm House disappointing!
Admission to the Haunted Grimm House is charged at about $10 per person and hauntings are conducted from noon to 11 pm all through the week.
