Disney's
Animal Kingdom combines the traditional thrill rides, shows and shopping opportunities of a theme park with the animal interaction of a zoo for a truly unique experience. Broken into multiple parts,
Animal Kingdom showcases such diverse areas as Africa, Asia, and even the prehistoric days of dinosaurs.
Along with the area's devoted to certain types of animals, the park also features Camp Minnie-Mickey, where you can meet with some of your favorite Disney characters; and Rafiki's Planet Watch, an area with numerous trails that feature animal interaction. Particular activities to look out for are the Kilimanjaro Safaris, a ride through the locales of Africa; Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom's newest high-speed roller coaster; and Dinosaur, a classic roller coaster that takes you on a trek to save prehistoric creatures. As with all Disney theme parks, there are also a number of live shows, restaurants and shopping options all themed after the various areas of the park.
