WALT DISNEY WORLD Marathon Weekend at Disney's Wide World of Sports

The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is not your traditional marathon experience. This marathon is a complete festival for the family, combining the traditional Walt Disney World attractions, running related parties and events, all in an incredibly festive setting. Taking place annually in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, this event is your chance to run alongside family-favorite Disney characters, including Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, Donald Duck, and many more. Photo opportunities with these characters are sprinkled throughout both the festivities and during the race itself. The running events offered include the full marathon, a half marathon, Goofy???s Race and a Half Challenge, a Family Fun 5k, Mickey Mile for youngsters. The goody packet provided to all runners is legendary for the Disney branded commemorative items included. True to Disney style, the race includes a remarkable send-off at the start of the race which includes a fireworks display and fantastic music.
