The Global Peace Film Festival in Orlando, Florida, was established to use the power of the motion picture to promote the goal of peace in the world. This festival seeks to expand the voice of peace beyond the traditional anti-war protests. The ideals and messages focus on the individual and reconciliation, healing and non-violence. Films from all over the world are shown at different venues around Orlando along with panel discussions, forums, and events where you can meet the film-makers. Many different genre of film are included: short films, animation, documentaries, comedies, etc??? You can purchase a pass to admit you to all events, if desired. There is even a Pet Parade for Peace; the best place to watch is in Central Park. The finale of the film festival is the Street Fair, held at Winter Avenue. Vendors for peace offer organic products and fashions, and other items. Mini-seminars are featured on how to make a difference. Come and be entertained and inspired.
