An Old-Fashioned Christmas at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, FL

Every holiday season, Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Florida, offers visitors a Christmas respite away from the hustle and bustle of today's holiday madness. The park's annual "An Old-Fashioned Christmas" focuses on the charms of American Christmases past. From November 16 through December 30th every year, visitors can enjoy a wonderland decorated in abundant amounts of lights, garlands, and poinsettias. On the first day of the exhibit, the park holds an evening Christmas tree lighting celebration, where their 80-foot tree is illuminated with an intricate design of Christmas lights.

Several shows occur every day at the park during this celebration. The daily Jingle Street Parade features Christmas carolers and musicians, light displays, and Santa Claus. The theatrical show "A Holiday Homecoming" presents a moving story about a wartime romance during the Christmas season. And "The Miracle of Christmas" is a musical show that tells the Biblical Christmas story through music and song. Also featured is an exhibit that explores the evolution of Santa Claus' style throughout the years and the "Frosty Follies" musical ice-skating show. The park does charge an admission fee for all holiday events.
