General Questions

Can you explain what is included on my tickets?

  • Sure! One- and two-day tickets are valid for one admission to one theme park per day. While you can leave and return to the same park in one day, you cannot go to more than one park on any one day. With the three- to ten-day tickets, you have "Park Hopping" privileges, which means you can visit any number of parks on any day, as many times as you want for the number of days.

Three- to ten-day tickets also include a designated number of extra admissions to other Disney attractions, including Blizzard Beach water park, Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest Interactive Theme Park, and Pleasure Island nightclubs. The number of extra admissions is based on the number of days your ticket is valid for.

How do I get around inside Walt Disney World if I don't have a car?

Can I bring my pet to Walt Disney World?

When is the best time of year to visit?

  • Central Florida's temperate climate makes Disney World a pleasant vacation destination 365 days a year. Spring and summer are typically the busiest seasons to travel to Disney, while fall crowds are much lighter and will have you with minimum waits. Most major holidays, including the Christmas season, are busy times, but there are also frequently special events during these times as well that you might enjoy. Regardless of when you visit, though, be prepared for warm weather and sunshine!

For what ages is Walt Disney World most appropriate?

  • Part of the magic of Disney is that all ages - from the tiniest tots to the proudest great-grandparents - can enjoy Walt Disney World. Each theme park has rides that appeal to small children as well as grown-up thrill-seekers, and the world-class entertainment will delight all ages. It's fun to watch a 60-year-old grandmother's face light up with as much excitement as her 6-year-old grandson when they see Mickey Mouse together. But, of course, there are places like Pleasure Island nightclubs that are designed with the "big kids" in mind. Whether you're looking for kid-appropriate wonder or romantic magic for two, Walt Disney World appeals to it all.

Theme Park Questions

Are wheelchairs and strollers available?

  • Of course! Wheelchair and stroller rentals are available at the entrance to each park on a daily use basis. Also, be sure to watch for special stroller parking areas outside some shows and attractions inside the parks. Some rides and attractions may require transfer from a wheelchair into an attraction seat, and those rides will be noted on the park maps available at the entrance to each park.

Is there an additional charge for shows and attractions inside the park?

  • As a general rule, no. All regularly scheduled shows and attractions are included in your ticket price, although some shows may have limited capacity (so plan on arriving early!).

What is this Disney FASTPASS that I keep hearing about?

  • Disney's FASTPASS service allows you to enjoy popular attractions without spending time waiting in line. FASTPASS designated attractions have a booth outside the line where you insert your park ticket and receive a FASTPASS ticket that gives you an hour-long timeframe to return and enter in the FASTPASS entrance. There is little to no waiting when you use FASTPASS, so it allows you to spend more time enjoying the park and less time waiting in line. For complete details, please visit our Guide to Walt Disney World Services.

I don't want to drag my shopping purchases around the theme parks all day ... what should I do?

  • Disney offers several great services for shoppers at the theme parks! You can opt to have your purchases waiting by the park exit three hours after you buy them to pick up on your way out. Or, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can have your purchases sent directly to your room!

What should I bring to the park with me?

  • Sunscreen is a must, and a poncho or umbrella is a great idea to have ahead of time for afternoon showers. You'll also want to make sure to bring or buy plenty of water along with you. If you would rather not bring your credit cards and are staying at a Disney resort, you can choose to charge purchases at the theme parks directly to your room. And, of course, you can bring a camera along with you to capture your memories, or make use of the Disney PhotoPass service. For full details on PhotoPass services, please visit our Guide to Walt Disney World Services.

How do I find out about showtimes and ride information at the parks?

  • Each park has an information board posted near the entrance that shows the hours of operation for the day, which attractions have FASTPASS available, approximate ride wait times, times of shows and special events, and more. Ask a Disney Cast Member at the entrance for the exact location of the board.

Downtown Disney Questions

What do I need to be sure to do during my time at Downtown Disney?

  • Downtown Disney features the area's top shopping, dining, and entertainment, so you might find yourself returning again and again! There are dozens of restaurants features cuisine from all around the world, including favorites like Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck, Rainforest Cafe, and more. Plus, the shopping is so phenonmenal that if you can dream it, you can probably find it along the walkways of Downtown Disney. Entertainment options include the absolutely unbelievable Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, the AMC Pleasure Island movie megaplex, DisneyQuest Interactive Theme Park, and the Pleasure Island nightclubs.

If I want to use my Walt Disney World ticket for admission to the nightclubs at Pleasure Island, do I have to use one admission per club?

  • No - when you visit your first club on any given night, you will receive a wristband that is valid for admission to all of the clubs for that night. So if you're not feeling the groove at one location, move on along and try out another one! Chances are that you'll find a nightspot perfectly suited to your personality in no time!
