You've heard the story of Cinderella, her Prince, and her fairy godmother ... now see the splendor of her story come to life at Cinderella Castle. Walt Disney World® Resort is probably the most famous theme park in the area. However, Orlando is also home to other great theme parks, so after you've explored Walt Disney World® Resort, be sure to check out these exciting theme parks. Animals attractions, amazing shows, and amusement park rides are among the excitement you'll find here. A wide variety of marine animals live at SeaWorld including the majestic killer whales, gentle manatees, playful dolphins, and cute little penguins. Shows include acrobatic dolphins and whales, animal tricks featuring dogs, cats, pigs, and rats, and action packed watersports. There is also a floorless roller coaster where you'll dangle high above the park and be turned upside down seven times! Silver Springs: Nature's Theme Park Animal exhibits, live shows, and spectacular glass bottom boat tours are among the many activities that await you here. The park presents both a fun and educational look at nature and the history of the Silver River area. With a glass bottom boat ride you enjoy unique views of what lurks below. World of Bears, Panther Prowl, Birds of Prey, Big Gator Lagoon, and Doolittle's Petting Zoo are among the many amazing animal exhibits. There is also a large botanical garden featuring over 130 local and exotic plants. Considered by some as the "first true waterpark", here you can enjoy a variety of activities sure to cool you off. There are special areas for children, thrilling water slides, and other attractions including a wave pool, volleyball, and a lazy river where you can sit back and float in the Florida sun. This park offers a splashing good time for the entire family. |

Gatorland
Trainer for a Day
If you are traveling to Central Florida - make sure you spend a day at Gatorland. My twelve year old and myself took part in the Trainer for a Day program - it was a birthday gift for him. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY !!!! We got up close and personal (holding, feeding, wrestling) the gators and a ton more of hands on with other creatures. This was an experience of a lifetime. Our guide was great and took the time to answer all of my families questions. Disney is always great - but knock a day off the park hopper and make arrangements to do the Trainer for a Day at Gatorland. The staff is Gatorland is very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

We went to Silver Springs while we were in Florida two years ago, and absolutely loved every minute we spent there. It was December, and the colourful lights were really beautiful. I especially loved the glass-bottomed boats. It was amazing to be able to see so deep down in the crystal clear water. We will be back in Florida this December, and we are planning to go back to Silver Springs. It's a 'must see' for everyone!
