But did you know that Walt Disney World also brings smiles to the faces of shoppers of all ages? Featuring several themed shopping areas, Walt Disney World is a fun and memorable place to do some souvenir hunting or gift shopping. Marketplace at Downtown Disney This area is the place to go for everything Disney! You can find everything here bearing your favorite Disney characters, from bath and facial products at Basin to Disney Sportswear at Team Mickey's Athletic Club. The World of Disney, though, is the monster of all Disney shops! Its 50,000 square feet of merchandise are divided into 12 themed rooms, making any shopping experience more like a fun tour. Disney at Home, The Art of Disney, Disney's Days of Christmas and Pooh Corner also offer lots of Disney items. Two sites that kids won't want to miss are LEGO Imagination Center with its outdoor creation area, and the delightful Once Upon a Toy Store. Pleasure Island Some of the most unique shops in the entire Disney complex are located inside Pleasure Island. Shops include Changing Attitudes upscale fashions, DTV rare Disney merchandise, Mouse House character merchandise, Reel Finds Hollywood memorabilia and Suspended Animation Disney items. One interactive shop is Superior Studios, which gives guests the opportunity to create their own music and then record it on a CD or video. After a long day of shopping, be sure to visit the Zen Zone, specializing in aqua massage chairs! Pleasure Island also has several great places to eat, including the Missing Link with casual American fare, D-Zerts sweets, and the Portobello Yacht Club Italian restaurant. In addition to all the shops and restaurants, Pleasure Island is also the site of nightlife spots like 8TRAX disco club, The Comedy Warehouse and Rock 'N Roll Beach Club. The West Side at Downtown Disney Downtown Disney's West Side has the widest array of merchandise where shoppers can find everything from cigars to sunglasses. The Virgin Megastore is one of the West Side's highlights, with 55,000 square feet of entertainment merchandise. Other stores include Guitar Gallery by George's Music Magic Master, Celebrity Eyeworks Studio, Hoypoloi ceramics and art glass, Magnetron magnets, Starabilia celebrity items and Sosa Family Cigars. For entertainment, the West Side offers Disney quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park (which has a gift shop of its own) and Cirque du Soleil La Nouba (named Orlando's best live entertainment venue). When you visit Walt Disney World, you'll probably want a pair of Mickey Mouse ears to remind you of all the fun you had in Orlando. But lucky for you, shopping at Walt Disney World is so much more!
