Silver Springs Theme Park
Silver Springs Theme Park
Known as "Nature's Theme Park," Silver Springs Theme Park presents a fun and educational look at the nature and history of the Silver River area.

When you're thinking about making a move, sometimes it's hard to get past the huge theme parks and think of Orlando as a town. However, there are plenty of reasons to make Orlando your new home.

Weather in Orlando

  • Without a doubt, the balmy tropical weather is a great reason to move to Orlando. With temperatures usually in the range of the mid seventies and eighties, there is plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities. There are 86 parks in the Orlando area and no limit to the outdoor activities available. If it gets too warm, take it inside to one of the 18 recreation centers.

Restaurants in Orlando

  • One huge advantage to living near a tourist destination is that are many restaurants to choose from with a wide variety of cuisines. An abundance of hotel rooms in every price range offers your visitors the option of staying nearby (although odds are you'll have a few hoping to stay at your house as well - you may need that larger guest room).

Major Events in Orlando

  • There are also some unexpected attractions in Orlando, such as the Silver Springs Rodeo, the largest rodeo in the eastern United States. There are highly respected art museums, including the Maitland Art Center, Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art and the Orlando Museum of Art. You'll find a variety of exhibits from Tiffany windows and lamps to Mayan and Aztec murals to African art.

Lakeside Living in Orlando

  • The chances of finding a home with a water view are pretty good in Orlando. There are dozens of lakes of all sizes throughout the city. As can be expected, the lush tropical landscape lends itself to many parks and gardens where you can rent a paddleboat, take a nature walk, or go boating, picnicking or fishing.

In short, Orlando has a lot to offer to all ages, tastes and interests!

We went to Silver Springs while we were in Florida two years ago, and absolutely loved every minute we spent there. It was December, and the colourful lights were really beautiful. I especially loved the glass-bottomed boats. It was amazing to be able to see so deep down in the crystal clear water. We will be back in Florida this December, and we are planning to go back to Silver Springs. It's a 'must see' for everyone!

My husband went for our 43rd weeding anniversary. We had a woderful time. No lines , the food is very reasonable. We were so surprised at how clean it is and how nice the people who operate all the entertainment treated us. We are getting a season pass since we live in Bradenton, Fl. a few hours away. Better than Bush Gardens or Lowery Park zoo. We were there on October 4th 2006. Mr. and Mrs. Gwin Wilburn111
