Disney World's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Guide
Explore the Enchanted Cinderella Castle
You've heard the story of Cinderella, her Prince, and her fairy godmother ... now see the splendor of her story come to life at Cinderella Castle. Your entire family will delight at finally seeing this enchanting symbol of magic, fantasy and imagination in person at Disney's Magic Kingdom® Park! General Attractions Attractions Surf Pool Considered to be one of the largest wave pools in the world, Surf Pool is the perfect way to experience the thrills of the ocean in the middle of a theme park. The pool alternates wave size, with some waves crashing down from up to six feet. Castaway Creek This lazy river will take you throughout the entire park as you languidly float atop an inner tube for a relaxing tour of Typhoon Lagoon. Ketchakiddee Creek This child's area features a variety of play toys, fountains and water slides that even the youngest of family members can enjoy.
Attractions Humunga Kowabunga An enclosed waterslide that features three chutes dropping five stories, Humunga Kowabunga is every bit as much a thrill ride as it is a race against friends and other park guests.
Storm Slides Much like the Humunga Kowabunga in nature, Storm Slides offers high-speed chutes that take you to a wading pool. Unlike Humunga Kowabunga, Storm Slides are not fully enclosed, and twist amongst each other rather than run straight.
Gang Plank Falls Experiencing a thrilling raft adventure for the entire family! This inner-tube ride can seat up to four as it barrels through caverns and rapids for an exciting time at Typhoon Lagoon. Mayday Falls Mayday Falls is the longest water slide in all of Typhoon Lagoon. You'll speed down the gushing slide aboard a personal inner tube, finally landing in the wading pool upon your final descent. Keelhaul Falls Keelhaul Falls places guests in rafts that can seat multiple people as they gently twist through the turns of this water slide. Along the seemingly calm ride you'll experience caves and waterfalls, but nothing too intimidating.
Attractions Crush 'n' Gusher This coaster-style water slide propels park goers aboard rafts with high-powered water through sharp turns and huge drop-offs for one of the more thrilling rides in all of Typhoon Lagoon.
Sandy White Beach This attraction is perfect for the guest that is tired of activity. This beach area is situated just to the right, past the food area, of the park entrance. You'll find hammocks, palm trees, lounge chairs and a beautiful view all await. Shark Reef Attractions Shark Reef This exciting excursion puts you in the water amidst live sharks and tropical fish. After a quick snorkeling lesson you'll be allowed to take to a reef area and actually swim along with the exotic creatures of the sea. This is definitely a unique experience, and costs nothing extra to take part in. |
