The Kennedy Space Center Visitors Center is open every day except Christmas Day and certain launch days. Operating hours are currently 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bus tours of the Kennedy Space Center run approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours and run continuously every 15 minutes starting at 10 a.m. The last tour starts at 3:45 p.m. The complex includes two IMAX Theaters, and exhibits on early space exploration, the new Shuttle Launch Experience, the Astronaut Encounter, and the Astronaut Memorial. Due to security concerns, certain items (knives, pepper/mace sprays, box cutters, nail clippers with knife blades, etc.) are not permitted on the premises.
