Prospect Park flanks the Falls on the American side, from which there is a fine view. Not only will you be able to see the American falls, but you can also see the extraordinary view of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Get your cameras ready and head for the top of the New York State Observation Tower, where you will be able to overlook Niagara Falls. Elevators run down to the landing stage from which the "maid of the mist" departs offering easy access to the boat ride through the falls.
On the upper rim of the gorge, across the road, is the New York State Parks Visitor Center.
