Goat Island, Luna Island, Three Sisters Islands, and Terrapin Point, Niagara Falls, NY

For a spectacular view of Niagara Falls from the United States, don't end your vacation without visiting Goat Island.

The oldest state park in the United States, Goat Island is located on the Niagara River in the middle of Niagara Falls, just between Horseshoe Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. A small bridge will give you access to Luna Island and crosses the rapids close to Bridal Veil Falls.  This small island between the American and Bridal Veil Falls has a fantastic close-up view of both.Enjoy a leisurely walk around the park on one of the foot trails, located in a wooded area.  Your vacation won't be complete unless you visit Goat Island in Niagara Falls New York. 

The Three Sisters Islands is the name of three small islands off the west side of Goat Island. Each island supports a variety of microhabitats and has its own floristic character making  these islands a wonderful area to explore, take a quiet walk, enjoy close-up views of the rapids and cascades. The Three Sisters Islands are connected by bridges, allowing pedestrians to walk to all three for grand views of the raging rapids in the Niagara River right before the its descent over the grand Horseshoe Falls.

Terrapin Point is located in the southern-western point of Goat Island.  This is where the eastern edge of the crest of the Horseshoe Falls touches Goat Island.  This is a low area several feet above the river and is overlooked by a bluff called "Porters Bluff."
