This park is located at the mouth of the Niagara River, only 15 minutes north of the mighty Niagara Falls, and worth the trip. This park offers a variety of activities and facilities for you and your family. There are two boat launches that provide access to the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, woodland hiking trails, swimming pools with waterslides, a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario, picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis courts, water fowl hunting (when in season), and 18 different soccer fields. During the winter months, visitors can enjoy such activies as cross-country skiiing, snowshoeing, and sledding.
This park is open year-round and household pets are allowed, but they must be caged or on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Parts of this park are handicap accessible, but not all areas. Throughout the year this park holds events, such as night hiking with no flashlights, or organized evening strolls along the beach.
