The Lilac Garden is located on ten acres and has more than 1,200 plants as well as over 200 varieties of plants. The Lilac Garden was started in 1967 to help celebrate Canada's Centennial Year with funds donated by the American Rotary Club.
Centennial Park, also known as Queen Victoria Park is the heart of Niagara Parks. You'll see the Fallsview moraine and the Niagara River Great Gorge, both great tourist attractions. Centennial Park celebrates the start of each new season accordingly. When spring starts, you'll see over 500,000 daffodils welcoming the warmth from the sun. Tulips and gorgeous magnolia trees will adorn the garden as well. IN summer, you'll see bedding plants in abundance such as lantana, fuchsia, cannas and more. The fall brings Chrysanthemums and kale, which are hardy enough to survive until winter, at which time you'll see lots of greenery.
