Challenge Niagara's White Water
Brave the white water of the Niagara River with a ride aboard the Wet Jet Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour.

The entire Niagara Falls area thrives with plenty of activities to make your vacation memorable and exciting. The first thing you'll probably want to do is to experience the falls themselves, and then check out some attractions that are fun for everyone. Round out your Niagara experience by visiting some of the area's nature and animal parks.

Niagara Falls Activity Overview

  • Niagara Falls is a 12,000-year-old wonder of the world that is not only a top honeymoon and vacation destination, but is also the world's largest producer of electric power. There are numerous ways to see the Falls, including by boat, helicopter, Aero Car and on foot at an observation deck. The Maid of the Mist is a great boat tour that takes you right up to the falls — so close that you actually get misted by the roaring waterfall! Other boat tours include the Wet Jet Tour and the Jet Dome Tour. If you want to see the Falls from the air, consider a 20-minute or 30-minute helicopter tour. For the ultimate experience, consider a combination tour like the 10-hour Presidential Tour or the 4-hour Canadian Rainbow Tour.

Fun Family-Oriented Attractions

  • For an adventure that takes you around the world without ever having to leave your seat, visit the Adventure Dome in the Clifton Hill Entertainment Complex. The 180 screen and six-channel surround sound makes you believe you are actually zooming across the snow on a snowmobile, floating high above earth in a hot air balloon, splashing along on a white water raft trip, racing down the road on a motorcycle, and bumping along the dunes on a dune buggy! And, best of all, you'll never experience a crash or bugs in your eyes! For another amazing on-screen adventure, head over to the 6-foot screen at the IMAX Theatre. Then take a trip to the top of the 775-foot Skylon Tower, where you will see for 80 miles! One more fun attraction is the Fun House, an escape from reality where nothing is as it seems and the "rules" change from room to room. Experience a glow-in-the-dark room, "anti-gravity," moving floors and crazy mirrors.

Nature and Animal Parks

  • For fun with critters from the animal world, don't miss ZOOZ Nature Park, with over 400 species of animals. ZOOZ highlights include pond fishing, a petting zoo, gardens and a greenhouse, as well as a Zoo Tram to zip you from one place to the next! For a completely peaceful nature experience any time of the year, and during any weather, visit the Butterfly Conservatory at Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, where you will enter a huge tropical atrium filled with lush plants and beautiful, graceful free-flying butterflies.

When you're having so much fun that you work up an appetite, you know it's time to stop and enjoy a meal at one of Niagara's unique restaurants. Enjoy Mulberry's Breakfast Buffet to get your day started off right, or stop in for Mulberry's Renaissance Lunch. The Watermark Fallsview Restaurant, Table Rock Restaurant, the Pinnacle Restaurant and Table Rock are all great choices for lunch and dinner.

Imax Theatre Niagara Falls
The voucher was great - we just walked right in. Theatre was clean, and the movie was great. We didn't realize it was as far from the hotel as it was but we made it our great adventure for the day - finding the pyramid buidling!

My 2 grandchildren (4 and 5) absolutely loved this place as did my husband and I. We couldn't believe how many butterflies there were. I would go again the next time we are there.
