The World Financial Center is a group of buildings in Lower Manhattan housing corporate offices for some of America's largest corporations, such as American Express and Dow Jones. Interestingly enough, this corporate headquarters was built upon what was originally a landfill.
The buildings that make up the World Financial Center are: One World Financial Center, which includes Dow Jones & Co and Fidelity Investments; Two World Financial Center, which includes Commerzbank; Three World Financial Center, which includes American Express; Four World Financial Center, which includes Merrill Lynch; and Winter Garden, a glass pavilion that includes such stores as Gap, Ann Taylor and Hallmark.
Whether you're visiting the World Financial Center for its sightseeing value, great shopping options or to experience one of the many year-round arts events that take place within the center, the World Financial Center is sure to be a memorable experience while in New York City.
