Queens Zoo is one of three city zoos operated by the Wildlife Conservation Society in New York City. Despite its relatively small size, just five acres, the Queens Zoo packs a number of interesting attractions within. As with the other two zoos of New York City, the Queens Zoo showcases its collection of animals in life-like natural habitats, as opposed to cages.
Interestingly, the focus of the Queens Zoo is animals found in America. From American bison and bald eagles to the spectacled bears of the Andes Mountains, you'll be surprised at the amount of variety you'll find within the zoo. The Queens Zoo is open year-round, making anytime the perfect time to visit New York City and the Queens Zoo.
