In addition to the scenic, tranquil, walking trails, there are many exhibits, workshops, and activites that are ongoin all the time. This nature center/park is located on a sandy beach, perfect for a picnic. The park is open from Sunday-Thursday, 10 am-4 pm (Winter).
Public transportation is provided: "Take the 6 train to the last stop in the Bronx, Pelham Bay Station. Instead of walking down the stairs from the station, cross the walkway over I-95. At the bottom of the ramp on the other side, turn left into the park"
