Some of the different things that you will come across while visiting the Peabody Museum of Natural History are The Age of Mammals and The Age of Reptiles murals (they were completed in 1967 by Rudolph Zallinger), The Torosaurus Project (where artists, paleontologists and zoologists created a 21 foot bronze sculpture of a Torosaurus), the Curator's Choice Exhibitions (where the curator division gets material out of storage for display for a couple months; such as unique gemstones, unique anthropological pieces and amazing insects.) Some of the permanent exhibitions you will see are the Fossil Fragments, Hall of Native American Cultures, The Discovery Room, Hall of Mammalian Evolution, the Goliath Beetle, and Daily Life in Ancient Egypt, Hall of Minerals, Earth & Space, North American Dioramas and also South New England Dioramas amongst many other wonderful exhibitions!
