The New York City Center, located in Manhattan, is a great visitor stop due to its unique, dome-shaped roof and wealth of dance recitals and other events that frequent the building. The New York City Center, built with a 54 foot tall dome roof covered in tens of thousands of tiles, was originally built as a meeting place for Shriners, but later came to host a number of performance arts events when the building faced demolition.
