You can learn more about the politics, economics and art when you visit this museum. You will also be able to really understand what the relationship was between the U.S. and Asia. Most of the artifacts and art are from 2000 B.C.E. to the 19th century. Most of the art was donated to the museum by Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller III.
The Asia Society and Museum was recently renovated under a $30 million project. This is greatly impacted the galleries and has provided more programs and facilities for its visitors. If you have visited this museum in the past, it will warrant a return due to the incredible changes that have been made and the additions to the galleries.
The Asia Society and Museum is located at 725 Park Ave. & 70th Street in New York City. You can contact them by phone at 212-288-6400. They are open from Tuesday to Sunday 11:00 Am to 6:00 PM and Friday 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Admission fee is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Students will need to bring their ID to receive the discount. You can visit the museum for FREE on Fridays at 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Children under 6 years of age are free during all times. Members of the Asia Society can also visit the museum for free during all hours.
