Make Waldorf Astoria Reservations

The Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City is a luxury hotel synonymous with class and distinction. Originally located on 5th Avenue, the hotel was opened by William Astor next to his aunt's house as a means to make her mad and convince her to move uptown. When it opened, the hotel was considered the biggest in the world and also was known for its progressive policies: women were allowed to stay in the hotel without a male chaperone. The hotel has been featured in countless movies and stories, and many presidents and former presidents have stayed there over the years. It has also been the home to celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, criminals such as Frank Costello, and even famous inventors such as Nikola Tesla. The hotel is now located on Park Avenue, and was purchased by Conrad Hiltonin 1949, making it one of the cornerstones of the Hilton hotel empire.
