Having read numerous sites and reviews of this hotel, I was a little apprehensive before going, however, this hotel was excellent from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. It's a few blocks from Central Park, 5th Ave, Broadway and Bloomingdales and within easy reach of most sites of interest. Our room was a twin, 2 double beds and enough room to have a party!! The staff were very polite, attentive and nothing seemed a problem. Free safety box at reception. Cannot comment on restaurants as we never ate there as so many places to eat in NY. It's not the Plaza but then again, it does not pretend to be like a lot of places do. The room was clean, daily maid service and towels changed. The concierge desk in this hotel is excellent. The bar is comfortable (if not a little badly lit) and serves great cocktails and wines from around the world. All in all a great hotel in a good location without the 5 star prices.
