Enjoy scottish activities, music, and more at the Scottish Festival & Highland Games in Amherst, New York, located approximately 20 miles southeast of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Festival-goers can spend a day being entertained by a culture different than their own. There will be music by the Glengarry Bhoys, Hobson's Choice, Penny Whiskey, Stone Row, Tom Callahan Trio, Carol Farrar, and many more. The clans that plan to attend the event are Barclay, Forsyth, Gregor, Gunn, Hamilton, MacDuff, MacLeod, MacFarlane, and Morrison. There will also be vendors selling scottish food, drink, housewares, and other treasures.
During the Scottish Festival & Highland Games, there will be a wide variety of things to do, to keep both you an the kids entertained. There will games specifically for children, pony rides, cooking demonstrations, weaving, dancing, blacksmiths, and much more. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for the Highland Games. No pets allowed, and the festival will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. While admission is not free, it is cheap.
