Take in an unprecedented event for the opening of Liberia: An Uncivil War at the
Alice Austen House on
Staten Island in New York.
The exhibit itself documents not one, but both sides of the conflict that erupted when President Charles Taylor refused to leave the country. This was only after he was indicted as a war criminal in the civil war of Sierra Leone.
Fans of award-winning photographer Tim Hetherington won't want to miss out on this event. Not only will he be in attendance, but will be displaying some of his best work yet.
