Boo at the Zoo at Prospect Park Zoo, NYC
Boo at the Zoo is the Prospect Park Zoo's Halloween celebration that takes place during the last weekend in October in Brooklyn, New York. At this two-day event for kids, families can enjoy the zoo's regular exhibits as well as special Halloween activities like craft making, face painting, and a tour through the zoo's "haunted barn." Also, kids can feed the zoo animals special Halloween treats like pumpkins. Boo at the Zoo activities are free with zoo admission.
The Prospect Park Zoo is located on Flatbush Avenue on the east side of Prospect Park at the B/Q Prospect Park subway station. The zoo is run by the Wildlife Conservation Society, the nonprofit environmental group that runs the larger Bronx and Queens zoos. Attractions and exhibits include playful Hamadryas baboons, red pandas, Western gray kangaroos, a petting zoo with barnyard animals, and a sea lion pool where feedings occur several times daily. The zoo charges an affordable admission price for both adults and children.
