There are numerous Chinatown locations throughout the United States, and each is a unique celebration of ethnic culture, arts, and experiences. In the sprawling landscape of New York City, you will find three unique Chinatown areas. These separate Chinatown areas in the Big Apple are popular in their own right, and each provide you with their own individual flair to the Chinatown experience.

The Brooklyn Chinatown is one of the Big Apple's quieter cultural attractions. This Chinatown is less frequented by visitors and tourists alike yet it still provides you with a full immersion into the ethnic experience that you think about when you think of Chinatown, making it the perfect option for a more laid back Chinatown experience. The Brooklyn Chinatown, unlike many other Chinatown areas, is not completely inhabited by those of Chinese descent. Instead, you will find a unique blend of Hispanics and Orthodox Jews here as well as Chinese residents. The Brooklyn Chinatown features a number of fabulous ethnic restaurants, fresh food markets, and other features. If you are interested in visiting the Brooklyn Chinatown on a tour, you can choose from among the Downtown Loop Tour 24 Hour Pass, the New York New York Sightseeing Tour, and the Night Loop Evening Tour.

The Flushing Chinatown takes a modern twist on the traditional Chinatown experience. This Chinatown boasts a full range of ethnic markets and restaurants as well as cultural attractions, and intersperses them with modern American conveniences such as McDonald's and Starbucks. If you are looking for a cultural experience in the Big Apple without a total ethnic immersion, the Flushing Chinatown is the perfect answer. The Flushing Chinatown is most popularly known for hosting the world famous Dragon Boat Festival each year to celebrate the fifth month of the lunar calendar. This Chinatown sits geographically between the Big Apple's other two Chinatown areas.

The largest and most popular Chinatown in New York City is the Manhattan Chinatown. This Chinatown has experienced tremendous growth over the years and has in fact overtaken much of Little Italy. As you stroll through Manhattan Chinatown, you will find ethnic restaurants, jewelry shops, electronics stores, and more. You can also do some sightseeing with a visit to the infamous Columbus Park, made famous as a slum area in the movie Gangs of New York before it was cleaned up. Tours visiting Manhattan Chinatown include the Downtown Loop Tour 24 Hour Pass and the Night Loop Evening Tour.

Whether you visit one Chinatown in the Big Apple or all three, you will love the ethnic experience Chinatown provides!
