Unique Lodging Choices for New York, New York

The Time The Time is probably one of the most unusual hotels in New York. It is designed for those who really would like to step away from the ordinary, into the extraordinary. The hotel, itself, was inspired by Alexander Theroux's book "The Primary Colors." It was designed to create intellectual and sensory stimulation. Each guest room of The Time is uniquely designed in one of three bold primary colors - red, yellow, or blue. This was done, so that guests can understand how color influences their mood and affects their day. Guests can see, feel, and smell romance blossom as they lie in a red bed, sense the calming aura of blue, or smell the color yellow as you open the vial of "color scent" provided in each room. To top it all off, this hotel even has a fantastic location, just off Broadway, putting visitors close to such attractions as Radio City Music Hall, The Empire State Building, and unusual dining choices like Mars 2112. W - Times Square If The Time sounds a little too bright and overwhelming for you, maybe W - Times Square is more your style. When you step into this hotel, you'll be swept away into a Zen-like environment. Quiet colors, calming textures, and a dramatic glass-encased waterfall that soothes the senses can help you to relax after a busy day in the city. Water runs overhead, streaming down on open sides, enabling you to literally "walk on water." Other aspects of the hotel are totally focused on customer services, as well. This is noticeable in their guest rooms when you plop down on their "dreamy signature bed," which features pillow topped and feather mattresses, 350 count linen sheets, and goose down duvets and pillows. Fitzpatrick Manhattan Maybe you're looking for a little European flair in your New York vacation. Well, look no further than the Fitzpatrick Manhattan. It's located in Midtown Manhattan, and it showcases European elegance with Irish influences. It's near Central park, Rockefeller Plaza, and The Museum of Modern Art. The hotel is adorned with luxurious chandeliers, and an imported marble fireplace, directly from Ireland. The guest rooms feature beamed ceilings, brass detailing, rosewood furniture, canopy beds with fine linens, soft intimate lighting, marble bathrooms, and more. You can even enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast in Fitzers, the onsite restaurant and pub. On the Avenue Hotel New York Maybe you enjoy the modern sleekness of the city and want to really experience the city life. Well, On the Avenue Hotel New York is located on the Upper West side near Central Park and features a huge guest-access balcony on the 16th floor that offers breathtaking views of the city. The decor in the guest rooms is simple yet contemporary and features wood panels with white walls and black and white drawing that provide style and accents to each room. The rooms also feature Italian black marble baths, bedding with French down comforters, along with European square pillows, and 310 count Egyptian bed linens. However, even the city life needs a taste of home, which is why homemade cookies are delivered to every room, and a nightly pianist plays in the lobby. Whether you're looking to understand what primary colors really smell and feel like, or whether you just want to experience the city life in first class accommodations, there's something for everyone in New York.
