Everyone loves spending time at the zoo! The Bronx Zoo is well-known for its amazing natural habitats that provide you with a realistic look at the animals' homelands. The Bronx Zoo features amazing displays and exhibits that make learning about the animals and their habitats fun and exciting.

To add to your exciting day at the Bronx Zoo, you can also enjoy a number of rides. Take a ride on the Wild Asia Monorail, which runs through a large part of the zoo. The kids will love the experience of a camel ride, swaying with the humps of this beloved animal. The children's zoo also features a number of hands-one activities that allow the kids to interact with the animals on a personal level. Take a creepie-crawlie ride on the popular Bug Carousel.

If you visit the Bronx Zoo from August 17 through 23, take advantage of Play Week at the zoo. This event is brought to you by Fisher Price and Bank of America, and fills the zoo with toys, theatrical performances, and storytellers for a truly memorable experience. On October 31 and November 1, make plans to experience Boo at the Zoo. Boo at the Zoo brings you magic shows, storytellers, hay mazes, face painting, and more.

Through November 1, the Bronx Zoo is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm, and on weekends from 10am to 5:30pm. On-site parking is available for a $12 daily fee. The zoo also offers a shuttle at the cost of $3 for a daily  pass, making it easy to access the attractions throughout the zoo.

There are a number of hotels near the Bronx Zoo as well. The Best Western Bronx Inn, the YMCA Harlem, and the Best Western For Lee are all within four miles of the zoo.
