Want to visit the American Museum of Natural History, but aren't sure where to start or which attractions to plan for? Then the Super Saver Pass is just what you need.

New to the Museum at American Museum of Natural History in New York, families have the opportunity to spend a night at the museum with the museum's special sleepover program.

Familes and groups with children ages 8 to 11 are eligible to participate in the program and feel the museum come alive at night!

At nightfall, you'll start your adventure with flashlights through the Hall of North American Mammals to the Age of Dinosaurs, continuing to the Hayden Planetarium and staying put for the night at the peaceful Milstein Hall of Ocean Life where you'll either sleep under a 94-foot-long whale or in front of a seascape diorama.

Having hosted the world's first "sleepover/movie premiere" in December of 2006 for Ben Stiller's Night at the Museum, the American Museum of Natural History is prepared for wide-eyed newcomers and repeat visitors to explore the museum and its wonders at night.

If you'd like, you're also welcome to visit the museum during the day when you can expect to see the following exhibits:

  • New Dioramas:  Enjoy the 360° panoramic virtual tours, archival photos, and hall highlight videos.
  • Fossil Halls:  Learn about fossils with the 360° panoramic virtual tours and hall highlight videos.
  • The Arthur Ross Hall of Meteorites:  You'll get in on the action in this cutting-edge hands-on exhibition space.
  • The Milstein Hall of Ocean Life:  A marine environment with video projections, interactive computer stations, and new ocean dioramas, this exhibit contains the 94-foot-long blue whale model.
  • The Gottesman Hall of Planet Earth:  Be awed by the outstanding collections of geological specimens in this hall.

Past exhibits include:

  • Exploratorium/AMNH:  Visitors learned how mirrors, pendulums, rotation, and various Earth processes work.
  • Vietnam:  In this exhibition, visitors were taken through the changing country and experienced the diversity of its landscape and people.
  • Chocolate:  This tasty exhibition fascinated those who explored the legends, history, and allure of the phenomenon known as "chocolate."

Whether you're visiting the museum to learn, play, or satisfy your curiosity, the Museum of Natural History will be an exciting bonding experience for you and your family to enjoy while in New York.
